In Kerala, the wooden chekku. a traditional wood press was once a fixture in every village. Coconuts would come in from local homes, dried into kopra, and pressed slowly using a method that has not fundamentally changed in centuries. No heat, no chemicals, no refining. Just pressure, time, and coconuts. The oil that came out was golden, fragrant, and nothing like what you find in a supermarket bottle.
Most of those village mills have disappeared. Some haven't. We source our cold-pressed coconut oil from small mills across Wayanad, Kottayam, and Alappuzha, places where the chekku still turns, where local families still bring their kopra, and where the oil is still pressed the traditional way. Each batch comes to you unrefined and chemical-free, with the natural aroma and nutrients that slow pressing preserves and heat refining destroys. For cooking, for hair, for skin , this is coconut oil the way Kerala always made it.
100% Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil (Unrefined)
Preservatives, Artificial Chemicals, Synthetic Colours, Natural or Artificial Flavourings
Once opened, store in a cool dry place. Always use a dry spoon. Consume within 4 months of opening.
Use for everyday cooking, tempering, sautéing, or drizzling over hot rice with a pinch of salt. Apply warm to hair and scalp for deep conditioning. Use as a natural moisturiser for skin. If the oil solidifies in cool weather, place the bottle in warm water for a few minutes, this is natural and a sign of purity.
